Metalcraft Technology Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician to strengthen our manufacturing QA/QC team in Coquitlam, BC. You will conduct sampling, inspection, and measurement of products, initiate NCRs, and verify quality against standards.

Responsibilities include data collection, root-cause analysis, SOP improvements, KPI support, and collaboration across teams to uphold quality policies. A 40-hour week and safety-first mindset are required.

Qualificações

• Proven experience in quality management within manufacturing.
• Strong QA/QC techniques and QA processes.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and inspection tools.
• Analytical with data interpretation and decision-making.
• Familiarity with manufacturing workflows and QMS.
• Ability to collect data, maintain records, and generate reports.
• Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs; Canada work eligibility.
• CSA-approved steel-toe boots required.

Responsabilidades

Metalcraft Technology Inc. is a manufacturing company with more than 25 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication. We serve clients in Canada and the U.S. from our location in Coquitlam, BC. We are currently looking for a press brake operator to join our bending team.

Only candidates who live in Metro Vancouver will be considered for this position.

As a Quality Control Technician, You will:

• Conduct sampling, inspection, and measurement of in-process and finished products.
• Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) when required.
• Perform quality control tests to ensure consistency and compliance with standards.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection and quality tools as needed.
• Identify root causes of quality issues, assign corrective actions, and follow up until completion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and develop SOPs.
• Support the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for production and report results to management.
• Uphold and enforce the company’s quality assurance policies and objectives.
• Participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Perform soldering and rework as required.

Complete additional quality-related tasks to support the organization’s mission.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of quality control techniques, inspection methods, and quality assurance processes (QA/QC)
• Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment
• Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and make informed decisions
• Familiarity with manufacturing workflows and quality management systems
• Ability to perform detailed data collection, record keeping, and report generation
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Physically capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs as required.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• CSA-approved steel-toe boots are required (other PPE provided by the company).

Preferred Education & Experience

• Diploma or degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 audits and quality management systems
• Experience in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives
