Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead and support initiatives using Lean tools such as Root Cause Analysis, 5S, Kaizen, FMEA, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Work with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to standardize processes, improve workflows, and reduce variability while maintaining quality, safety, and financial goals.
  • Promote and enhance employee understanding of Lean methodologies.
  • Provide coaching and training support in Lean principles.

Management:

  • Establish and manage departmental budgets in line with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with HR and senior leadership to attract, retain, and develop quality team members.
  • Determine licensor training requirements for employees in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive culture within the department.
  • Lead and support direct reports through training, performance management, and goal setting.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations, focusing on operations, continuous improvement, quality, and safety.
  • Foster a culture of safety and risk management within the department.

Senior Management Team Involvement:

  • Actively contribute to business process reviews and strategic initiatives as a member of the SMT.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on both short-term and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor department and organizational performance and address key issues affecting quality and delivery KPIs.
  • Participate in monthly leadership meetings to review and act on performance metrics such as revenue, margins, and non-conformance rates.
