Job summary

Victaulic Company of Canada ULC in Brampton, Ontario is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for an on-site role. You will monitor product quality, inspect parts, and support cross-functional teams in a production environment focused on Victaulic tool technologies and pre-fabrication activities.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in quality control, is proficient with blueprint reading and GD&T, and familiar with ISO 9001:2015.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of comprehensive Quality Control experience.
• Ability to read blueprint drawings and specifications.
• Well versed in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• ISO 9001:2015 experience.
• Adequate working knowledge of ANSI, ASME, and ASTM standards.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products using CMM in accordance with quality system procedures.
• Perform inspection of precision parts and assemblies to drawings and specifications.
• Establish clear records of First Article Inspection.
• Support New Part Validation, PPAP, and Revalidation.
• Document and discuss nonconforming materials and support corrective action.
• Conduct internal auditing of control plans and process conformance.
• Participate in Kaizen, 5S initiatives and problem solving.
• Assist the Quality Manager/Supervisor/Engineers with projects.

We're looking for a QA Technician to join our team in Brampton, ON. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring product quality and supporting cross-functional teams within a production environment focused on Victaulic tool technologies and pre-fabrication activities. You'll monitor and maintain quality standards throughout various production processes, conduct inspections, and implement quality control procedures. You'll also support continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with machinists, inspectors, engineers, supervisors, and managers to maintain and improve quality while reducing cost and lead-time.

WHAT YOU’LL BUILD & OWN

• Inspect products using CMM in accordance with quality system procedures.
• Perform inspection of precision parts and assemblies to drawings and specifications, using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, shadowgraph, hardness tester, plug gauges, and pin gauges.
• Establish clear, complete, and precise records of First Article Inspection.
• Support New Part Validation, PPAP, and Revalidation.
• Document and discuss unacceptable or nonconforming materials with internal and external parties, and support quarantine and/or corrective action as required.
• Conduct internal auditing of control plans and process conformance.
• Participate in Problem Solving & Resolution, Kaizen events, and 5S initiatives.
• Assist the Quality Manager/Supervisor/Engineer(s) with projects and other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION

The hourly rate for this position is $29 – $35, based on experience.
