Job summary

Richardson International is seeking a Mill Operator to run milling equipment and oversee oat-based ingredient production at our facility. The role involves operating milling systems, cleaning, testing and documenting processes to meet quality standards.

The position requires 12-hour rotating shifts, Nights and weekends, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team in a processing environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
• Solid oral and written communication skills.
• Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work in a processing environment and adverse conditions (heights, steam processing and hot environments,)
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate all milling equipment, including grain cleaning, dehulling, kilning, flaking and oat flour manufacturing systems
• Steam heat treatment of raw and finished products
• Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs on milling equipment
• Test finished products and work in progress to ensure adherence to quality standards
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned to meet standards in all areas of the mill and grounds
• Accurately complete documentation for all processes
• Operates in accordance with all food safety, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practices
• Perform other duties as required
