Your role and responsibilities

The ABB Mesure & Analyse plant in Quebec City is a world leader in spectroscopy. Our contract engineering department is Canada's leading supplier of space-based optical sensors used for monitoring greenhouse gases and global weather forecasting. Our plant is recognized for expertise in developing and manufacturing products for industrial analysis and measurement.

Joining the Quality department, you will contribute to customer projects and R&D efforts, working within a dynamic multidisciplinary team. Your role as Quality Assurance Specialist includes ensuring compliance with and improving our methodologies, tools, and processes.

Your responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with processes, standards, and best practices; conduct audits.
  2. Manage supplier qualification, evaluation, monitoring, and improvement in collaboration with procurement.
  3. Generate project quality plans.
  4. Validate and approve design, purchase, integration, and test documentation; oversee quality during testing.
  5. Participate in Material Review Board and Configuration Control Board meetings, making quality decisions and monitoring design changes.
  6. Lead process simplification and optimization initiatives.

Recognized for leadership, decision-making, rigor, and teamwork, you are autonomous, responsible, analytical, and a good communicator, interested in working in a standards-based environment.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant expertise.
  • Proficiency in French and English; French required, English for communication with external customers.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and experience in a standards environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
