Job description

Yardi is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist tojoin our team dedicated to the Affordable Living Suite of products. Yourprimary focus will be on enhancing the reliability and performance of oursoftware tailored for our residential communities. This role involves rigoroustesting, collaborating with developers to resolve issues, and using a hands-onapproach to develop test plans, automate scripts, and document findings tosupport product improvements. Your analytical skills will be crucial inidentifying defects and ensuring software quality standards. What You’ll Do:

• Learn a Yardi product inside and out and become a subjectmatter expert (SME).
• Evaluate and test new enhancements and fixes to programfunctions per user requirements, design specifications and establishedstandards.
• Consult with development engineers for problem resolution.
• Maintain documentation of test results to assist indebugging and modification of software.
• Test software products and report the results to developersvia the internal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application.
• Create detailed Technical Reports (TRs) using qualitywriting skills and provide Development with the necessary information toresolve issues.
• Follow established quality assurance procedures andcontribute to the continual improvement of those procedures.
• Perform unit testing on defect resolutions to ensureaccuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness to achieve desiredresults.
• Analyze and document reasons for test failures, andrevises/debugs assigned programs and/or procedures as necessary.
• Update and maintain new test environments with appropriatedata.
• Track software problems and verify corrections.
• Work collaboratively in the creation and inspection ofquality assurance documents and prepare release documentation for both internaland external presentation.
• Enhance knowledge of tools, processes, procedures, andresources necessary to support quality assurance activities.
• Be part of a great team and participate in weekly committeemeetings.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics orrelated degree or equivalent experience.
• Two (2) to five (5) years of software domain(s) experienceand/or quality assurance experience with working knowledge of quality testingtools and systems.
• Proven ability to diagnose, report, track and effectivelycommunicate quality issues for several projects concurrently.
• Awesome written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritizeeffectively.
• Ability to learn and apply new, complex concepts.
• High comfort level troubleshooting and problem-solvingissues.
• Flexibility, and the ability to manage changing priorities.
• Great people skills and the ability to thrive in acollaborative environment.

Helpful to Have:

• Knowledge of SQL administration.
• Experience in the property management industry andaccounting.
