About your next Challenge as a Quality Assurance Specialist:

What will you do:

  1. Review documentation to ensure adherence to the required standards;
  2. Assist in or conduct audits on internal business streams to ensure product conformance with quality requirements and business’s established procedures;
  3. Support customer QA audits as required;
  4. Advise personnel within the company on matters concerning quality assurance, codes, standards, and programs;
  5. Maintain quality assurance in accordance with established guidelines and standards;
  6. Ensure timely and orderly completion of audits and reports as required by the business;
  7. Respond to customer issues, inquiries and audit requirements with appropriate sense of urgency and business criticality;
  8. Coordinate with others to ensure any actions emanating from the audits (both internal and external) are addressed and closed in a timely manner;
  9. Notify management of quality/compliance trends and service failures;
  10. Prepare quality non-conformance reports and assign personnel to address them;
  11. Assist in changes to operating procedures, policies, training materials, and other documents as required by the business.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  1. Bachelors degree or equivalent;
  2. 1-3+ years of experience working in a related capacity or an equivalent combination of education and related experience;
  3. Strong communication skills – written and verbal;
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  5. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision;
  6. Organizational skills, and cross-group work experience;
  7. Good MS office skills Excel, Word, Outlook; Knowledge of ISO 9001, Military or Nuclear industry quality standards are considered an asset;
  8. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is an asset.

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

  1. Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  2. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
  3. Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). For on-site positions, our location is not accessible by public transport, car/carpooling required.
