About This Role

The Quality Assurance Group develops and sustains a world-class Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure conformity of customer deliverables and promote continuous improvement. As a Quality Assurance Specialist at CAE, your role will be to ensure that company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved on hardware products used in flight training devices.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Manage Manufacturing Quality Assurance Systems, including Incoming Quality, Process Quality, Final Inspection, and the complete manufacturing lifecycle, including product and process validations.
  • Plan, conduct, and report on audits, including internal processes (manufacturing, regulatory, internal policies) and external/supplier processes (QMS, design, fabrication, assembly, testing, inspection).
  • Ensure product conformity to drawing requirements based on a quality plan, develop inspection and test standards, establish control points, oversee inspections, and address non-conformities through resolution plans.
  • Lead MRB meetings and provide recommendations.
  • Implement Manufacturing Quality Audit systems.
  • Validate and verify processes and process qualification techniques.
  • Deploy factory metrics to support continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement by analyzing data for recurring issues and top offenders using quality tools such as fishbone diagrams, Pareto charts, and control charts; facilitate quality improvement sessions.
Requirements
  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education and experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment and Quality Management Systems.
  • Mandatory experience in internal and external (supplier) auditing.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and its QMS principles.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to mechanical or electrical products, including mechanical/electrical assembly, PCB assembly, and cable assembly.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
