Job description

The position of Inspector is available at our repair facility in Oakville, Ontario. The Inspector will report to the Plant Manager.

Primary Responsibilities and Deliverables:
  • Inspection of inbound, in-process, and outbound rail cars
  • AAR qualification of tank cars
  • Non-destructive testing (visual inspection, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and ultrasonic)
  • Responsible for shift supervision as required
  • Other related responsibilities as assigned
Desired Skills and Expertise:
  • Experience in railcar repair and knowledge of AAR rules
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building experience
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Detail-oriented and committed to quality
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines are required
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work in an environment with continuous exposure to outdoor weather, as well as dust, fumes, and noise.
  • Adhere to Procor’s health and safety standards (including the Responsible Care policy) and wear the required personal protective equipment for the job in a safe manner.
