Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
• Experience in both Manual Testing and Test Automation.
• Hands-on experience with at least one automation framework (Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium).
• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and testing lifecycle.

About the Role

OWLSystems Solutions is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and accessibility of our web and software applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manual and automated testing, be comfortable working in an Agile environment, and have hands-on experience with modern automation and testing tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases based on business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain automated End-to-End (E2E) and regression test suites using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Conduct API testing and validate data flow between applications, services, and external interfaces.
• Perform accessibility testing based on WCAG 2.1/2.2 and Section 508 guidelines.
• Conduct keyboard-only, screen-reader, and automated accessibility testing using tools such as axe, Lighthouse, and NVDA.
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Provide clear defect reports including reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, severity, environment, and supporting evidence.
• Perform regression testing after defect fixes and application enhancements.
• Support performance, load, stress, and scalability testing using tools such as JMeter or k6.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria to identify gaps, ambiguities, and potential quality risks.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure release readiness.
• Maintain test documentation, test reports, QA metrics, and requirements traceability.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, automation coverage, testing standards, and overall product quality.
• Support CI/CD testing integration and help improve automated testing efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
• Strong experience in both Manual Testing and Test Automation.
• Hands-on experience with at least one automation framework such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and software testing life cycle.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar test/defect management tools.
• Knowledge of WCAG and Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Experience with screen readers, keyboard navigation, and accessibility testing tools.

• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document test results clearly.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
