Job summary

SUNPAN is seeking a Quality Control Coordinator to support quality assurance initiatives for our furniture lines. You will review inspection reports, coordinate first production inspections, and document findings in Qarma.

The role requires 1–3 years of QC experience in manufacturing, knowledge of testing standards, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency with SAP and Qarma. Teamwork and clear communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial claims investigations and identify root causes.
• Implement timely corrective actions with internal and supplier teams.
• Verify product conformance after corrective actions.

Job Summary

The Quality Control Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Sunpan's quality assurance initiatives and ensuring products meet company quality and compliance standards. This position contributes to building a sustainable, adaptable, and customer-focused organization aligned with Sunpan's core values.

About The Role

Quality Assurance & Inspections

• Review inspection reports in the Qarma application to confirm products meet Sunpan's quality and compliance requirements prior to shipment.
• Coordinate first production inspections by working with the warehouse team to stage and assemble parts as required.
• Conduct incoming inspections of first production parts and document findings in Qarma.
• Communicate quality or compliance concerns promptly to factories and internal stakeholders.

Claims & Corrective Actions

• Perform initial claims investigations by inspecting stock and collaborating with the Houston team to identify root causes.
• Work closely with internal teams and global suppliers to implement timely corrective actions.
• Coordinate the quarantine of defective products when required.
• Verify product conformance following corrective actions.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Review structural testing and compliance reports for furniture products as required.
• Collaborate with Qarma to enhance the system in response to evolving business and factory needs.
• Identify opportunities for quality improvement and recommend process enhancements.

Other Duties

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Management.

• 1-3 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing capacity.
• Furniture industry experience is preferred
• Knowledge of testing standards and regulatory compliance.
• Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SAP and Qarma is an asset.
• Ability to adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards
