Job Summary:

In this role, you will perform documented inspections to verify the conformance of parts to applicable drawings, procedures, specifications, and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. The QC Inspector is responsible for the content of the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and project quality plan according to customer and Flowserve specifications and international standards. Additionally, the QC Inspector defines, advises, and controls all project-required QC documents.

Work hours: Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4 pm. Must be available for overtime.

Location: Leduc, AB.

Responsibilities:

1. Document dimensional and visual inspections according to drawings or applicable procedures.
2. Document non-conforming materials utilizing NCR (non-conforming materials) process.
3. Review and verify internal and external qualifications of suppliers, welders, NDE personnel regarding NDE, welding procedures, and other requirements.
4. Review and approve supplier’s manufacturing and testing documents/procedures, ensuring approval by the customer, his customer, and the authorized inspection body when required.
5. Prepare and define test and inspection requirements for projects, including ITP and procurement specifications.
6. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. HS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years relevant experience.
2. Knowledge of inspection equipment used in machining, assembly, and testing operations.
3. Skilled with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
4. Experience with ISO 9001:2015 certification, QMS audits, gauge calibration, and Inspection Test Plans.
5. Experience in NCR Root Cause Analysis.
6. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
7. Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills.
8. Problem-solving skills.
9. Commitment to Operational Excellence and high customer service standards.
10. Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical, with a positive, can-do attitude.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

1. Familiarity with rotating equipment, pumps, mechanical seals.
2. Knowledge of welding, NDE, and quality systems.
3. Understanding of established quality standards, laws, and regulations at national and international levels.
