El Gaucho Hospitality is seeking QA/QC Technicians to join our meat packaging facility in Ontario. Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, you will monitor daily operations, support food safety programs, perform sampling, testing, documentation, and drive continuous improvement to ensure product compliance.

This full-time, on-site role offers hands-on training, competitive wages starting at $21 per hour, and opportunities for career growth in a fast-paced environment that serves families across Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily facility and personnel monitoring to ensure compliance with food safety programs.
• Perform GMP audits and document findings.
• Collect product, allergen, environmental, and nutritional samples according to schedule.
• Compile, organize, and analyze internal and external testing results.
• Extract and trend ATP swab results; report deviations immediately.
• Prepare and ship samples to external laboratories; maintain professional communication with lab partners.
• Maintain lab supplies and order consumables as needed.
• Assist with investigations of non-conformances and deviations.

About the Role

Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, the QA/QC Technician is responsible for daily monitoring of facility operations, personnel practices, and product compliance. You will support food safety, quality assurance, and health & safety programs through sampling, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily facility and personnel monitoring to ensure compliance with food safety programs
• Perform GMP audits and document findings
• Collect product, allergen, environmental, and nutritional samples according to schedule
• Compile, organize, and analyze internal and external testing results
• Extract and trend ATP swab results; report deviations immediately
• Prepare and ship samples to external laboratories; maintain professional communication with lab partners
• Maintain and coordinate special sampling programs for company and customer requirements
• Support nutritional compliance testing and coordinate sample submissions
• Ensure finished product testing, hold, and release procedures are followed
• Perform internal physical and chemical testing according to specifications
• Conduct calibration and verification of equipment; coordinate external calibration needs
• Participate in validation studies and internal/third-party audits
• Assist with investigations of non-conformances and deviations
• Maintain lab supplies and order consumables as needed
• Support QC Technicians on the production floor with specification implementation
• Act as backup for sanitation efficacy monitoring (ATP, T0 swabbing, visual inspections)
• Perform other duties as assigned by the QA/QC Manager

Requirements

• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
• QC-related college courses and/or relevant professional experience
• Ability to stand for long periods and work Monday-Saturday
• Strong organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
