Job summary

Bird Construction seeks a QA/QC Manager to implement and maintain the Project Quality Program across sites. The role involves coordinating testing and inspections with field teams, reviewing quality records, and ensuring client specifications are met.

The ideal candidate will conduct regular site inspections, identify risks, and drive resolution of non-conformances while producing weekly and monthly quality reports. Travel to project sites is expected as required.

Qualifications

  • Proven record of maintaining quality records and complying with ITPs.

  • Inspect field conditions and identify risks and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure ITP compliance and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Review and approve quality docs from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on testing and inspection results.
  • Report non-conformances and assist in resolution and verification.

Job description

QA/QC Manager Reporting to the Quality Director, the QA/QC Manager is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and ensuring the effective operation of the Project Quality Program, and will also perform site inspections to ensure that activities comply with the project specifications This position will be site based in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island, however as a project-based organization, work assignments are driven by business and project needs. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel, work remotely from their home office, or temporarily relocate to project sites as required to support project pursuits and successful project delivery. Assignments may be located within or outside of the employee's home region, and travel frequency and duration will vary depending on operational and project requirements.

What You Will Be Working On
