Job description

Position Summary

Our Electrical and Instrumentation team is seeking qualified QA/QC candidates for a project at a Cenovus site in the Cold Lake area.

Position Details
  1. Local work to Fort Saskatchewan
  2. 5/2 shift
  3. 10-hour days
  4. Candidates outside the Edmonton/Fort Saskatchewan area must be willing to travel at their own expense
Qualifications
  1. CWB Level 1 certification is an asset
  2. Industrial experience in a live plant setting is required
  3. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Core Accountabilities
  1. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  2. Ability to follow Inspection and Test Plans and perform inspections as outlined in the ITP
  3. Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
  4. Ensure installations comply with applicable codes and standards
  5. Practical knowledge of metering and test equipment
  6. Perform electrical inspections and tests
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  8. Bluebeam experience is an asset
  9. Willingness to travel to remote locations on shift rotation
  10. Document retention
  11. Complete project turnover to clients
  12. Verify site activities meet quality codes and standards
  13. Distribute quality control documentation to sub-contractors
  14. Provide feedback to management on QA/QC matters
  15. Conduct pre-inspections and assist with material receiving to ensure conformity with standards, drawings, and specifications
  16. Monitor work progress via QC audits
