Reporting to the Project Manager, the QA/QC Coordinator – Mechanical will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to oversee the implementation of the Quality Assurance Program, ensuring compliance with project specifications. This role is based in Pickering, ON.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of the overall work plan and schedule.
  • Organize and maintain project site files and documents; manage electronic document databases and file sharing sites.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, plans, submittals, logs, and purchase orders.
  • Review subcontractor/supplier progress applications and payment certificates.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding contracts, design revisions, RFIs, RFQs, etc.
  • Prepare and participate in meetings with project teams, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and distribute detailed meeting minutes promptly.
  • Assist with final document turnover to clients upon project completion.
  • Coordinate and address deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain project awareness to inform the Project Manager of status and potential issues.
  • Provide other technical support to the project team as needed.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or a construction-related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a project support role, preferably with an ICI general contractor or subcontractor.
  • Experience managing mechanical projects from start to finish.
  • Effective team player.
  • Ability to read and interpret contract specifications, drawings, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project; SharePoint experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Client-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take on challenges.
