Job summary

Zafin is seeking a QA Engineer II to join the Banking Platform team. You will ensure quality, reliability, and readiness of Zafin Banking product through planning, executing, and validating tests across customer implementations.

Responsibilities include functional/ backend/ API testing, data validation, test automation, and collaboration with Product and Engineering to support release readiness in a fast-paced banking tech environment. AI tools familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software quality assurance experience, preferably in fintech or SaaS.
• Experience with functional, backend, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and investigation.
• Familiar with AI tools or AI-assisted testing.

Responsibilities

• Review business requirements, functional specifications, and customer configuration to define test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, backend, API, and end-to-end testing for SaaS banking product implementations.
• Validate backend data processing, file-based workflows, system integrations, APIs, batch jobs, and customer configurations.
• Prepare and manage test data required for test execution.
• Execute test cases, document results, and report testing progress clearly.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using Jira/Confluence or similar tools.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to clarify requirements and support release readiness.
• Support UAT and validation activities with test evidence and defect updates.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for product functionality and quality.
• Embed automated testing in SDLC and CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality feedback.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage and automation.
• Develop repeatable test scenarios for automation consideration.
• Contribute to QA process improvements and overall product quality.
