Job summary

TEEMA in Vancouver, BC is seeking a QA Engineer to join our product QA team. You will design test strategies, develop automation for native, web, and API testing, and contribute to AI-driven testing initiatives.

Responsibilities include defect tracking with Jira/Zephyr, maintaining test suites, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve quality across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
• Proven QA engineering experience with test automation across native, web, and APIs.
• Strong scripting and automation tool experience (Selenium, TestComplete, Jenkins).
• Experience with Jira and Zephyr for test management.
• Ability to adapt AI/ML QA approaches to testing.

What you will be doing:

• Test Strategy & Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Automation Frameworks: Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks across Native, Web frontends, and Backend APIs.
• AI Integration: Partner with engineering teams to integrate AI-driven testing methodologies into the software development lifecycle.
• Defect & Project Management: Utilize JIRA, Zephyr, and modern bug-tracking software to manage test suites, report defects, and track quality metrics.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging test automation tools, AI/ML QA practices, and industry standards to maximize test coverage and efficiency.

What you must have:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• QA & Automation Background: Proven experience in QA engineering with a strong foundation in test automation across native platforms, web frontends, and backend APIs.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestComplete, Jenkins) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Node.js).
• Tooling: Hands-on experience with JIRA and test management platforms such as Zephyr.
• AI Innovation: Demonstrated ability to adapt to emerging technologies, specifically AI and machine learning applications within software QA.

Salary/Rate Range: $70,000.00 – $80,000
