The role collaborates with developers, business analysts, and product teams, performs diverse testing types, and participates in Agile ceremonies to drive quality throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

Role Overview

We are seeking a QA Engineer with experience testing enterprise applications within the insurance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing automated and manual test strategies, with a strong focus on Java, Selenium, and Cucumber. The role will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure high-quality software releases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver for web-based insurance applications.
• Create and execute BDD test scenarios using Cucumber/Gherkin, translating business requirements into clear and reusable automated tests.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing across insurance applications and workflows.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, analyze requirements and user stories, prepare test plans and test cases, and provide QA status, defect reporting, and release-readiness updates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA/testing experience, with hands-on experience in enterprise application testing; insurance industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Selenium WebDriver for building and maintaining automated test frameworks.
• Proven experience with Cucumber, BDD, and Gherkin, including developing feature files and step definitions.
• Strong understanding of API testing, SQL/database validation, regression testing, and integration testing, with experience working in CI/CD environments.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and defect-management skills.
