Job summary

Tokio Marine Canada is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated testing solutions across applications, APIs, integrations, and data platforms. You will embed quality throughout the software delivery lifecycle, working with developers, analysts, and stakeholders in a modern Agile, cloud-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of software quality assurance, test automation, or quality engineering roles.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable automated testing frameworks.
• Experience testing enterprise applications, web apps, APIs, data platforms, and reporting solutions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into software delivery processes.
• Exposure to cloud-hosted applications and services in AWS and/or Azure.
• Exposure to data platforms, data pipelines, analytics, and reporting solutions including Snowflake.
• Property & Casualty insurance experience is a plus but not required.
• Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks, reusable assets, and utilities.
• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, API, data validation, and end-to-end tests.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to improve delivery quality.
• Create and maintain test strategies, plans, cases, scripts, and documentation.
• Identify, document, track, and support resolution of defects and quality risks.
• Promote QA standards, automation best practices, shift-left testing, and continuous improvement across teams.
