RBC is offering a 8-month Winter 2027 student placement in Toronto to assist a cross-functional team of Data Scientists, Engineers, and Analysts in Risk Analytics. You will partner with Operational Risk stakeholders, document requirements, and help QA analytics while handling production-support tasks.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and analytical thinking, with exposure to Python scripting and strong MS Office usage, in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operational Risk SMEs to understand needs and ensure analytics requirements are met.
• Assist in documenting end-to-end project requirements including metric logic.
• Create and execute test cases to QA analytics being developed.
• Manage a moderate number of applications to provide solutions during production issues.
• Identify deficiencies and propose solutions to support team and business.
• Conduct timely investigations when issues occur.
