Job description

Corpay is currently looking to hire a QA Analyst with strong technical skills and solid backend experience within our Cambridge division. This position falls under our Corpay Cross Border line of business and is located in Toronto. In this role, you will work closely with Development and PM teams to maintain a top level of quality in software systems. You will report directly to one of our QA Leads and regularly collaborate with teams. This role is mostly in manual testing, with a focus on functional, integration and regression, and it also requires exposure to and understanding of Automation frameworks and object-oriented programming.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

• Refining complex stories and proposing acceptance criteria.
• Creating QA test artifacts (Test Strategy, Test Matrix, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Results) and functional documentation.
• Executing manual and automated test cases (functional, UI, API, Integration, Regression, UAT testing).
• Communicating test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
• Carrying out install and setup tools, environments.
• Investigating issues (found during test efforts or reported from production), logging them into Jira and escalating.
• Analyzing logs, recommending improvements and compiling reports based on findings.

Qualifications & Skills

• 7+ years of experience in manual tests in areas such as functional, regression, integration, user interface, performance, and security testing;
• Experience in writing SQL queries and scripts;
• Experience in working in an agile software development team using Scrum;
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent;
• Experience in the payments industry is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills;
• Highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
• Proficient in writing test cases and identifying test scenarios;
• Ability to prioritize work with a focus on deadlines and deliverables;
• Good team player with ability to solve complex tasks and recognize and escalate risks without supervision;
• Demonstrate a high level of productivity, responsibility, and influence.
