About The Role
UKG is a leader in the HCM space and is at the forefront of AI innovation. We seek talented AI Engineers to contribute to developing next-generation AI/GenAI products. This role involves working on SaaS technologies and impactful projects for global enterprises. As a Software Engineer II, you will be involved in designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable software applications.
• Participate in the entire AI development lifecycle, including data collection, preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Engage in design reviews and contribute to architecture discussions.
• Review code written by peers, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Build and automate tests using tools like Junit and Selenium.
• Debug and troubleshoot defects and issues reported by customers.
• Contribute to service health, quality, and incident management.
• Understand and work within a DevOps model, collaborating on requirements, deployment, and maintenance.
• Document new features, fixes, and contribute to training materials.

About You
Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, FastAPI, PyTest, Celery, and related frameworks.
• Experience with version control (Git, GitHub) and issue tracking (JIRA).
• Basic understanding of cloud technologies and DevOps principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with object-oriented programming, REST APIs, CI/CD tools like Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of AI/ML, GenAI, MLOps, frameworks like LangChain, databases like MongoDB, MSSQL, Postgres.
• Experience with GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Java, Scala is a plus.
