Job summary

Canadian Fiber Optics Corp. seeks a Purchasing Supervisor to procure equipment, services, and access rights, manage tenders, and coordinate deliveries to meet operational needs.

The role involves negotiating with suppliers and supporting contract activities, ensuring efficient procurement processes. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 3–5 years of experience, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines with strong communication

Responsibilities

• Negotiate offers from suppliers and consult with them.
• Hire, train and supervise staff; monitor quotations.
• Determine contract terms and award contracts.
• Establish and manage delivery schedules; oversee logistics.
• Provide customer service and liaise with clients and suppliers.

Job Summary:

The Purchasing Supervisor, will be responsible for procuring equipment, materials, services, and land or access rights required by the organization. The role involves assessing requirements, managing tenders and supplier negotiations, coordinating delivery schedules, and supporting contract and purchasing activities to ensure operational needs are met efficiently.

What you will be doing:

• Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials or business services
• Assess requirements of an establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased
• Develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased
• Negotiate offers from suppliers
• Consult with suppliers
• Hire, train and supervise staff
• Review quotations
• Determine contract terms and conditions
• Award contracts to appropriate parties
• Establish delivery schedules
• Monitor progress of delivery schedules
• Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems
• Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization
• Provide customer service
• Internal audit
