Qualifications

Responsibilities

I’m partnering with a well established, and growing organization, to find a skilled Purchasing Coordinator to join their Operations team. This role is essential for managing the procurement of vital goods and services, ensuring seamless daily supply chain activities, and keeping operational workflows moving efficiently.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives on vendor collaboration, data accuracy, and optimizing inventory management processes.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing Procurement: Preparing, processing, and tracking purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Vendor Relations: Communicating with suppliers to secure quotes, track order statuses, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Inventory Control: Monitoring stock levels, tracking purchasing metrics, and maintaining min/max quantities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinating with receiving, inventory, and accounting to resolve discrepancies and streamline the procurement lifecycle.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to automate, digitize, and improve current purchasing workflows.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • Education: Post-secondary education (Diploma or certificate in Business, Supply Chain, or Procurement preferred).
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in an administrative, purchasing, or inventory-focused role (ERP or inventory software experience is a plus).
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced capability in Excel.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, robust problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for managing client and vendor relationships.
