Job summary

Multimatic in Ontario is seeking a co-op student for a Purchasing/Procurement track. You will conduct segment research, analyze market dynamics, and feed insights into the Purchasing Strategy.

You will compare pricing models, assess total cost of ownership, and prepare communications on outcomes, using Excel for data analysis. The role requires initiative in a fast-paced environment and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program in a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools, specifically Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, ERP systems and other relevant software applications.

• Analyze pricing models, total cost of ownership, and value propositions to determine the most cost-effective purchasing solutions without compromising quality or service levels. Prepare reports and/or communication regarding outcome.
• Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to analyze and determine purchasing strategies to achieve cost savings and improve business model efficiency.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost optimization through data-driven analysis and benchmarking best practices.
• Build & maintain strong professional relationships with the supply base & internal stakeholders.
• Follow all departmental and general procedures where applicable.

Basic Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program in a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools, specifically Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management

This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be: $17.60 - $25.48
