We are seeking a talented and experienced Purchasing Agent at Milton, ON to join our Purchasing Team.

The Purchasing Agent will report to the Purchasing Manager and will support and execute the day-to-day purchasing of direct materials and direct production materials required for their designated factory.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage inventory levels of assigned materials and ensure MRP planning parameters are accurately maintained.
  • Support supplier performance measurement while maintaining and developing supplier relationships at all levels.
  • Investigate and resolve supply issues using tactical and strategic approaches, expediting urgent needs, and implementing contingency plans.
  • Process purchasing documentation and maintain a clean, organized ERP system while monitoring order and transport status.

What you bring:

  • 3-5 years of industrial purchasing experience.
  • Post-secondary education.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advanced Excel skills.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP or any ERP system for material purchases and reporting.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills with knowledge of purchasing principles.
