Job summary

S3 Group Ltd. in Swift Current is hiring 2 Purchasers to join our teams. You will ensure materials are purchased at a reasonable cost, within budget, and delivered on time for production.

You will liaise with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and build strong relationships to secure favorable pricing and terms. Use your negotiation and analytical skills in a collaborative environment while contributing to a growing organization.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years purchasing experience in manufacturing
• Knowledge of MRP
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Positive constructive attitude and ability to manage priorities
• Detail oriented and quick learner

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials for production, engineering and others on purchase order.
• Source materials, negotiate price, delivery, specifications and quantity with suppliers.
• Handle all planned orders with a start date on or before current date that are assigned, based on planner IDs.
• Maintain an accurate inventory record and evaluate suppliers based on performance and financial stability.
• Ensure all PO dates in MAX reflect the most recent agreement with the vendor and any overdue order is addressed daily.

The Role

We are looking for 2 Purchasers to join our teams in Swift Current. These roles ensure that materials are purchased at a reasonable cost, within budget, and delivered on time for production. They liaise with suppliers and negotiate contracts while maintaining good relationships to secure favorable pricing and terms. Key Responsibilities

• Purchase materials for production, engineering and others on purchase order.


• Source materials, negotiate price, delivery, specifications and quantity with suppliers.


• Handle all planned orders with a start date on or before current date that are assigned, based on planner ID's.


• Maintain an accurate inventory record and evaluate suppliers based on performance and financial stability.


• Ensure all PO dates in MAX reflect the most recent agreement with the vendor and any overdue order (as displayed on the PO dispatch report) is addressed daily.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years purchasing, preferably in the manufacturing sector.


• Knowledge of MRP system.


• Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.


• Have a positive and constructive attitude and the ability to manage a range of priorities.


• Detail oriented and able to learn tasks quickly.
