Job Summary:

We seek a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser to join our team. Responsibilities include procuring materials, negotiating with vendors, resolving issues, and expediting parts. A strong understanding of supply chain processes, vendor management, and maintaining product information is essential.

Duties:
  1. Review specifications and budgets with end users; produce purchase orders.
  2. Identify supply sources from vendor lists and new vendors; evaluate price and availability; obtain samples if needed.
  3. Analyze offers for price, quality, and compliance; recommend awards per company policies.
  4. Ensure vendors meet service expectations; resolve issues related to equipment, service, and materials.
  5. Maintain vendor contacts; gather market trend information; seek new sources.
  6. Expedite parts; identify constraints; explore solutions.
  7. Participate in supply chain management; qualify new vendors; monitor vendor performance.
  8. Manage on-hand materials for service and sales.
Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, and Experience:
  • Level III of the PMAC program or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of recent related experience or equivalent education and training.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Infor Syteline.
  • Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to interact effectively at different organizational levels.
  • Analytical skills related to pricing, inventory, and supplier performance.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, matrix environment satisfying multiple customers.
