Purchaser – Amico Source
Richmond Hill, ON

Would you like to work for a global company that is dedicated to personal career growth? Amico Corporation is a leading manufacturer of Medical Equipment with 9 manufacturing facilities employing over 1100 people across North America.
We are currently seeking a purchasing agent for our Source division!
Responsibilities:
  1. Process requisitions and purchase orders
  2. Initiate and follow up with RFQ and POs with suppliers
  3. Expediting overdue orders and rush requests
  4. Building relationships with suppliers
  5. Review MRP (inventory) replenishment
  6. Manage allocation of job-specific materials purchased in the event of production schedule date changes
  7. Liaise with cross functional teams such as suppliers, production, shipping and customer service to ensure goods are available to meet production requirements on time
  8. Negotiate with suppliers to purchase quality products at the best price possible
  9. Handle NCRs with suppliers
  10. Maintain up to date information on production schedule for cross functional teams to reference
  11. Attend regular team meetings and participate in meetings with suppliers as needed
  12. Other duties as required

Experience and Education Requirements:
  1. 2-3 years of purchasing experience preferable in a manufacturing background
  2. Knowledge in medical air and vacuum systems an asset
  3. Able to read simple manufacturing or technical drawings an asset
  4. Highly organized, creative and self-motivated
  5. Excellent verbal and communication skills
  6. Able to work independently and in team environment
  7. Spire experience an asset
  8. Computer skills
  9. Attention to detail
  10. Negotiation skills
  11. Working in fast paced environment
  12. Able to multitask
  13. Mandarin speaking is an asset
  14. Formal college or university education
  15. Follow company policies and procedures
