Job description

GCS is looking for a highly organized and proactive Purchaser to join our growing team in St Albert.

The ideal candidate has experience in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and is fluent in English & Spanish (preferred).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Source and purchase materials, equipment, and services in a cost-effective and timely manner
  2. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
  3. Track inventory levels and monitor supplier performance
  4. Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts, and RFQs
  5. Ensure procurement complies with company standards and budgets
  6. Coordinate shipping, delivery, and customs documentation (as required)
  7. Identify opportunities for cost savings and supply chain improvement
  8. Experience in ordering construction materials
Qualifications:
  • 2–5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience (construction, industrial, or manufacturing sectors preferred)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and purchasing software
  • Fluent in English; Spanish an asset
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Wage Range:

$28–$38 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
