Job summary

Soucy Group in Canada is seeking a procurement specialist to help support operations and growth. You will anticipate needs, secure materials, and collaborate with multiple teams to keep production flowing.

This role requires independence, agility and good judgment, with impact on delivering to customers. You will work with production, planning and engineering to ensure materials are available at the right time, and to optimize inventory.

Responsibilities

• Plan and ensure the procurement of raw materials and outsourced components from our suppliers and various units
• Prioritize procurement based on production needs and commitments to our customers
• Work closely with the production, planning, and engineering teams to ensure the availability of materials and components at the right time
• Implement procurement strategies to provide optimal visibility to our suppliers in order to secure production for the next 0–24 months
• Optimize inventory levels based on the production plan and sales forecasts
• Demonstrate initiative and act quickly in response to unforeseen events, proposing solutions aligned with organizational priorities

In this position, you will have the opportunity to :
