The Pump / Motor Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the Pumps, Motors, and Mechanical Equipment of the Mall including sump pumps, fountain pumps, all aquarium pumps, Waterpark pumps, compressor maintenance, cooling tower maintenance, and any other equipment that is related to the mechanical operation of the facility.

Primary Responsibilities

• Performing mechanical work and maintenance on Mall pump systems which include centrifugal, end suction, split case, and vertical inline pumps ranging from 1hp to 250 hp.
• Electric motor maintenance as well as motor and pump alignment.
• Performing replacement inspections on a variety of equipment.
• Attending all training courses that are required.
• Ensuring the cooling tower and reciprocating and screw air compressors are maintained.
• Proactively ensuring preventative maintenance of the central fans.
• Creating a regular preventative maintenance schedule and performing preventative maintenance duties including greasing, oil changes, bearing changes, etc. on all related equipment.
• Equipment tracking and assisting the Supervisor on ordering parts and supplies.
• Assisting other departments when the need arises, and other duties as required.

Desired Qualifications

• 5+ years of applicable experience working on various rotating and stationary equipment.
• Millwright Journeyperson certificate considered an asset.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience working on various pumps and their related drivelines.
• Initiative and the ability to work well with others and independently with minimum supervision.
• Central HVAC fan maintenance experience is an asset.
• Ability to work at heights and in varying climate conditions with the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Physically able to walk long distances throughout the facility.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook email.
• Required to provide own basic set of hand tools. Specialty tools will be provided.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and the ability to provide a 3-year driver’s abstract.
• Must be able to pass a security clearance.

Terms Of Employment

• This is a full-time position required Monday through Friday 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM.
• Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
