Job summary

A leading company in the mass transfer and mist elimination industries seeks a Pipefitter, Welder, Tower Mechanic II to join their team in Edmonton. This role entails working in gas plant and refinery environments and requires experience in the oil and gas industry along with several safety certifications. Qualifications

  • Minimum one year experience in oil and gas industry.
  • Safety certifications: OSSA Confined Space Entry & Monitoring, H2S Alive, OSSA Fall Protection, CSTS 20.
  • Experience installing mass transfer equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work in gas plant and refinery environments, at heights, and in confined spaces.
  • Handle parts and materials, install internal column components such as trays, packing, and distributors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year experience in oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read safety paperwork, blueprints, and follow directions.
  • Safety certifications : OSSA Confined Space Entry & Monitoring, H2S Alive, OSSA Fall Protection, CSTS 20.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience installing mass transfer equipment and working in industrial construction.
  • Valid apprenticeship or journeyman certificate in pipefitting or welding.
  • Experience with pressure vessels, confined spaces, and piping systems.
  • Additional safety certifications and tickets are assets.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, wear PPE, and perform shift work including travel.
