Job summary

Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Cambridge, Ontario, is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to support the Pulmonary Diagnostic Program and related inpatient/outpatient care. The role covers pulmonary function testing including spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion capacity and ABG puncture within a critical care setting.

Requirements include active membership with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario, CSRT/RT Ontario membership, BCLS, ACLS preferred, and 1–2 years of

Qualifications

• Must be a member in good standing of the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
• Current membership in good standing with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists and Respiratory Therapy Society of Ontario
• Current BCLS certificate required
• ACLS certificate preferred
• 1-2 years’ experience in all aspects of pulmonary function testing
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Cerner experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform pulmonary function procedures including spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion capacity, methacholine challenge, and arterial blood gas puncture
• Monitor pulmonary function equipment, calibrate and perform quality control
• Assist anesthetist with airway management during ECT
• Provide clinical guidance to Respiratory Therapy students
• Document and maintain accurate patient records
