Job summary

The City of Chilliwack is seeking Labourer I for Public Works (Time Duration) to support the Operations Department. You will perform non-skilled labour such as grass cutting, flagging, loading equipment, repairing fences, cleaning streets, and removing garbage under supervision.

Applicants must have a BC Driver's Licence, the ability to lift heavy objects, and be healthy for outdoor work in various weather.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years experience in the labourer force or an equivalent combination.
• Must possess a valid BC Driver's Licence.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labour.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-skilled labour tasks such as grass cutting, flagging, loading equipment, and cleaning streets.
• Repair fences and assist with general maintenance duties as assigned.
• Remove garbage and assist with digging and related tasks as directed by supervision.
