Job summary

The City of Powell River BC is seeking a General Labourer (part-time) to support Infrastructure Services. The role involves site prep, material handling, cleanup, and occasional grounds upkeep using small tools and forklifts.

You will work within a crew, adhere to safety procedures, and may fill in for vacancies within the division as needed. Applicants should have a High School diploma, a valid BC Class 3 license with air endorsement, WHMIS, Traffic Control, and forklift training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; valid BC Class 3 license with air endorsement.
• WHMIS, Traffic Control, and Forklift training certificates required.
• One year related experience preferred; ability to operate small equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform operational maintenance supporting municipal infrastructure.
• Assist in site preparation, material handling, and cleanup tasks.
• Occasional duties in grounds upkeep and equipment operation as assigned.
