Job summary

The Municipality of the County of Victoria is hiring a permanent full-time Public Works Attendant based out of the Baddeck Waste Management Facility. This position supports the Waste Collection Driver on pre-assigned and special routes, collecting and delivering curbside waste, recyclables and organics.

Term: full-time, permanent; 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. Rate: $20.91 per hour as per the collective agreement.

Qualifications

• Valid Nova Scotia Class 5 driver's license.
• Experience with municipal Waste programs preferred.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Assist Waste Collection Driver on pre-assigned and special routes.
• Assist in collection and delivery of curbside waste, recyclables and organics.
