Job summary

The City of Vancouver is seeking a Project Manager I to lead cross-disciplinary project teams within the Engineering Services unit. In a matrix environment, you’ll work with engineers, planners, and stakeholders to deliver complex public works projects from charter to closeout.

You will plan scope, budget, and schedules; monitor progress; coordinate reviews; and report to senior management. A PMI-aligned background and 5+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• PM methodologies training; PMP designation asset.
• Bachelor or Master in Architecture, Planning, Construction Management, or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of PM experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience managing complex projects with multiple consultants/contractors.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Project Manager in cross discipline design and construction projects.
• Plan projects with scope, budget, and schedule; document in Project Charter.
• Coordinate reviews, procurements, and manage consultants/contractors.
• Monitor status, cash flows, and schedule; report to stakeholders.
• Lead meetings with stakeholders and manage project closeout.
