Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking an Intermediate Procurement Specialist (Supply Specialist) to support materiel and inventory management for a large public sector organization. This on-site Ottawa role involves monitoring usage, advising on distribution, disposal, and repair forecasts, and coordinating procurement across multiple sites and stakeholders.

You will monitor inventory and movement, develop procurement plans, liaise with clients and vendors, and mentor new staff in supply management.

Qualifications

• 24+ months in procurement for government/public sector within last 48 months.
• 24+ months using an ERP/Management system (e.g., SAP) to analyze and replenish inventory.
• 48+ months providing logistical supply support to multiple clients and maintaining stock records.
• 48+ months in four of: stock transfers, material planning, inventory management, supply chain management, inventory reporting, stock level maintenance, or monitoring stock movement.
• Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; may require Controlled Goods Program registration.
• Location: on-site in Ottawa, core hours 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; may require outside hours.

Responsibilities

• Help develop procurement plans and secure approvals.
• Follow up with vendors to expedite deliveries.
• Liaise with clients, units, and stakeholders for inquiries.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to new staff in supply management.
• Perform logistics and supply management support, including inventory monitoring and stock release.
• Manage procurement records using standard formats and document management systems.
• Plan and support movement and distribution of materiel between depots and sites.
• Prepare supply requisition documents and purchase requisition lists for review.
