Job summary

Government of Yukon’s Whitehorse Health Centre seeks a Community Health Nurse to deliver preventive services, including immunization, screening, education, and counseling to individuals and groups in Whitehorse.

Reporting to the Nurse in Charge, you will support health promotion and disease prevention in the community. A signing bonus of $7500 CAD is available for eligible Registered Nurses. Open to qualified applicants with Yukon admissibility; travel up to 20% within the territory.

Qualifications

• Current registration with a Canadian registered nursing regulatory authority.
• Recent experience in public health nursing with emphasis on immunization and health promotion.
• Ability to travel within Yukon up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Deliver preventative services including screening, assessment, immunization, education, and counseling.
• Work as part of a team to improve Yukon health services.
• Provide health education and outreach in communities.
