Job summary

Community Living Essex County in Ontario is seeking a part-time staff member to provide guidance and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The role involves contributing input for developing, implementing, and reviewing support plans, and working within a team to solve problems and maintain a safe, healthy environment at the location.

The ideal candidate has a one-year diploma/degree in a human service field and at least six months of relevant experience, plus First Aid

• First Aid Certification is required.
• Valid driver's license and access to automobile.

Challenging and complex behaviors requiring consistency in adhering to established protocols and support strategies. Personal care and adherence to behavioral support plans required.

Job Summary:

Provide guidance and support to individuals. Contribute input for the development, implementation, and review of support plans. As part of a staff team, share knowledge and information in assisting with problem solving, identifying needs, and promoting a safe and healthy environment for all individuals at the location.

Qualifications:

• 1.Completion of a one (1) year post-secondary diploma/degree in a human service field of study and six (6) months experience working with people with an intellectual disability.
• 2.First Aid Certification.
• 3.Valid Driver's License and access to an automobile.
• This is an open, part-time permanent position. A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check, proof of a valid driver's license, and proof of automobile insurance will be required as a condition of employment.
