Community Living Essex County is seeking a part-time position to provide guidance and support to individuals at the location in Ontario. The role includes assisting with personal care and medical needs under established protocols while promoting a safe and healthy environment.

You will contribute input for the development, implementation, and review of support plans, working with staff to identify needs and solve problems to empower individuals within the community.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year post-secondary diploma/degree in a human service field.
• Six months experience working with people with an intellectual disability.
• Valid First Aid Certification and a valid driver's license.

Location Description:

Providing support with personal care, medical needs include extensive seizure supports and mental health care. Must adhere to protocols and support strategies.

Job Summary:

Provide guidance and support to individuals.

Contribute input for the development, implementation, and review of support plans. As part of a staff team, share knowledge and information in assisting with problem solving, identifying needs, and promoting a safe and healthy environment for all individuals at the location.

Qualifications:

• 1.Completion of a one (1) year post-secondary diploma/degree in a human service field of study and six (6) months experience working with people with an intellectual disability.
• 2.First Aid Certification.
• 3.Valid Driver's License and access to an automobile.

This is an open, part-time contract position.

A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check, proof of a valid driver's license, and proof of automobile insurance will be required as a condition of employment.
