Job summary

WESTERN CANADA LOTTERY CORPORATION seeks a part-time Security Officer for our downtown Winnipeg location. A valid Security Guard License and Class 5 Driver’s License are required, with availability seven days a week, including days, evenings, overnights, and holidays.

Schedule includes 8-hour shifts: 4 pm–12 am and 12 am–8 am. Greet visitors, monitor access, patrol the premises, operate alarm systems, and prepare security reports as part of the Security & Administration department.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent
• Valid and current Security Guard License
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Previous security experience considered an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be available for shift work on a rotational basis
• Recent copy of Driver’s Abstract is required

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular physical security patrols of the premises (building, warehouse, parking garage) checking for inadmissible persons, fire or safety hazards and notify applicable staff of any mechanical or environmental system alarms
• Greet all visitors to the premises and issue necessary visitor ID badge
• Answer and forward telephone calls at switchboard
• Operate automated access alarm control and surveillance equipment
• Complete and submit security reports as required
• Conduct daily draws and winner number distribution
• Other duties as assigned

Have you considered pursuing a rewarding career in security? The Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) is looking for a part-time Security Officer, for our downtown Winnipeg location.

As a key member of the Security & Administration department, the successful candidate must have a valid Security Guard License and valid Class 5 Driver License, with availability 7 days/week including days, evenings, overnight shifts, and holidays.

Shift Duration: 8 hours includes break time.

• Evening Shift: 4 pm - 12 midnight
• Night Shift: 12 Midnight - 8 am

The starting compensation for this position is $20.09 per hour.
