Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Abbotsford, BC, is seeking a Retail Outfitter to join a team that delivers legendary customer service and expert product knowledge.

You will help customers choose products, promote programs, maintain store presentation, and stay informed about outdoor lifestyle trends. Starting pay is 18.25–20.25 CAD per hour with benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s products is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs and recommending products.
• Promote company programs and promotions.
• Maintain visual presentation and restock / remerchandise as needed.
• Resolve customer issues using good judgment and logic.
• Demonstrate passion for the outdoors with knowledge of trends and tech.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed.

Summary:

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, a Retail Outfitter will work within a team to create a world class shopping experience by providing legendary customer service and exceptional product knowledge to every customer.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based off of this analysis
• Promote various company programs and promotions
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scopeAssist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
• Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate

Qualifications:

Starting Pay Rate: $18.25 - $20.25
