Primary Purpose

Perform duties to ensure department appearance, quality, variety, safety, and food safety are maintained at the highest level. Support Hannaford Strategy, build customer relations, and provide enthusiastic customer service.

Qualifications

• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lb. regularly; occasionally lift 75 lb.
• Reach shoulder level or above while lifting 30 lbs.
• Stand and walk continuously.
• Meet activity volume standards.
• Bend, reach, grasp, and lift produce at waist level or above.
• Use hands for feeling and tools for opening boxes, preparing, and cleaning produce.
• Handle substances related to cleaning, packaging, and food products.
• Tolerate working in cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes.

Preferred Requirements

• Assist customers in locating and selecting products.
• Perform stocking, culling, and rotation according to guidelines.
• Prepare products (trim, crisp, package, scale) per standards.
• Perform cleaning tasks as per policy.
• Maintain high product quality standards.

Salary Range

$15.00 - $19.65 hourly
