Job summary

Sobeys is hiring a Meat Production Clerk to assist customers, cut and stage meat products, and keep displays organized. You’ll learn company procedures and best practices in a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, preparing meat cuts, stocking shelves, and maintaining sanitary work areas while delivering excellent service. Previous retail meat experience is preferred.

• Upholds and complies with company procedures, standards and policies in all situations
• Greets customers in a polite and friendly manner
• Demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with company's programs
• Cut and prepare meat products for display using knives and saws
• Stocking various meat products to shelves
• Maintaining and building merchandise displays in compliance with company programs
• Use of commercial power equipment

• Cleaning and sanitizing of work area

What You Bring To The Table

• Strong preference will be given to candidates with previous Retail Meat Cutting experience
• Knowledgeable of various cuts of meat an asset. company specific training will be provided
• Ability to learn quickly
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
