Sobeys Inc. is hiring for a Meat Department role in Calgary to provide friendly, professional service, prepare meat products, and maintain the department to meet CFIA standards. You will help with merchandising, orders, and training new staff in a fast-paced retail environment.

The position emphasizes customer-focused service, attention to food safety, and ability to work collaboratively with the Meat Manager and clerks across banners. Experience preferred; a High School Diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of experience in meat department or similar role.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service and product knowledge with attention to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to meet customer needs.
• Prepare meat products for customer purchase and displays.
• Merchandise meat area and maintain department appearance.
• Receive meat orders and handle special requests.
• Ensure CFIA and company standards compliance.
• Provide training to new staff as needed.
• Assist Meat Manager/Clerk Dept as required.

• Provide customer service to meet customer needs
