Job summary

Safeway in North Vancouver is seeking a Produce Clerk to help customers find the produce they want and keep the department well stocked. Full training is provided and you’ll contribute to a fast, friendly shopping experience.

You’ll handle stocking, displays, rotation, and basic backroom duties, with opportunities to cover cash registers during peak times. Evening and weekend shifts are encouraged.

No prior experience is required and a positive, customer-focused attitude is key.

Qualifications

• Evening and weekend availability encouraged.
• Must be available to be scheduled on Sundays (Alberta only).

• Upholds and complies with company procedures, standards and policies.
• Greets customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with Safeway’s programs.
• Stocking produce and related products on shelves (Frozen, perishable and non-perishables).
• Maintaining and building merchandise displays in compliance with Safeway programs.
• Rotation of product.
• Loading and unloading of product for the sales floor.
• Backroom and inventory management.
• Operating a cash register as needed for relief during peak business hours.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
