Job summary

Thrifty-Foods in Canada is seeking a Produce Clerk to maintain a well-stocked department and deliver excellent customer service. Full training is provided for this position and you will support the store in handling produce, inventory, and display maintenance.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and may involve operating a cash register during peak hours. Prior experience is not required, making this a great entry point into retail.

Responsibilities

• Upholds and complies with company procedures, standards and policies in all situations
• Greets customers in a polite and friendly manner
• Demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with Safeway’s programs
• Stocking produce and related product to shelves such as (Frozen, perishable and non-perishables)
• Maintaining and building merchandise displays in compliance with Safeway programs
• Rotation of product
• Loading and unloading of product for the sales floor
• Backroom and inventory management
• Operating a cash register as needed for relief during peak business hours
• Any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager
